Fire Safety – Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans

Under current fire safety legislation it is the obligation of the person(s) having responsibility for the building to provide a fire safety risk assessment that includes an emergency evacuation plan for all people likely to be in the premises, including disabled people, and how that plan will be implemented (HM Government, 2007).

As the responsible person for the building you must:
• carry out a fire risk assessment of the premises and review it regularly
• tell staff or their representatives about the risks you’ve identified

Manual Handling

This course gives candidates an overview of safe lifting techniques and an insight into the hazards and risks involved in manual handling. Delegates will learn how to dynamically risk assess a lifting activity to minimise the risk to themselves and others.

Emergency First Aid at Work 1-day - Inset (Orleans Primary School)

The 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work course meets the requirements set by the Health & Safety Executive and the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This course is designed to give delegate the confidence and competence to act in the event of an emergency, whilst waiting for further medical help to arrive.
The course is recommended by the Health and Safety Executive for low hazard environments where you are required to have a first aider on site. It follows the HSE guidelines for 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work courses.
