eLearning: Safeguarding Training: Basic Awareness Level 1

The Government has defined the term 'safeguarding children' as 'The process of protecting children from abuse or neglect, preventing impairment of their health and development, and ensuring they are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care that enables children to have optimum life chances and enter adulthood successfully. Safeguarding Awareness Level 1 is suitable for those who have infrequent direct contact with children and young people, and may become aware of possible abuse or neglect.

MARAC and DASH is an interactive full day’s multi agency training course.

This training course will equip front line practitioners, managers and specialist staff to recognise and respond to adults at risk of domestic abuse, stalking, harassment and honour based abuse.

It will give an understanding of risk factors associated with domestic abuse, risk identification, assessment and management, including the MARAC process.
