The course will show workers how to navigate the system and record assessments, reviews and other ad hoc workflows.

All new starters in the SEN team should attend this course. It is also suitable as refresher training for existing users.

Cultural Awareness

Culture can describe beliefs, behaviours and traits of an ethnic, social or age demographic. The cultural background of any individual will impact on how they interact with others. A number of recent Serious Case Reviews (SCRs) have highlighted that professionals working with families from different cultural backgrounds would benefit from a skills and knowledge refresher. Ensure sufficient multi-disciplinary input into the process at all stages.’ (DfE, 2014)
