Event Introduction | Mishandled data can lead to serious consequences for organisations as well as for individual staff members, including financial penalties and disciplinary action. Compliance with data protection legislation is both a personal and an organisational responsibility. All staff, including volunteers, have a responsibility to know how to process personal data. This course is aimed at all Achieving for Children staff. |

Event Content | This course will cover the principles and terminology of data protection legislation, as well as why data protection really matters. It will explore personal and organisational responsibility for protecting data. This elearning module will cover the following: • An overview of data protection legislation • Processing Personal Data • Your Responsibilities • Data Breaches This eLearning course is part of AfC induction programme and all AfC staff will be expected to successfully complete it. In order to receive their certificate, delegates will need to complete all sections of the eLearning course and the evaluation. |
