Impact of Parental Personality Disorders on Children & Young People

1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem of some kind each year in England (www.mind.org.uk 2021). It is more common among those with dependent children. Although this does not necessarily mean a parent will have difficulty meeting their child’s needs, for some there will be a need for targeted intervention (e.g. from Early Help Services) or specialist intervention under the Children Act 1989.

Emergency First Aid at Work 1-day

The 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work course meets the requirements set by the Health & Safety Executive and the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This course is designed to give delegate the confidence and competence to act in the event of an emergency, whilst waiting for further medical help to arrive.

The course is recommended by the Health and Safety Executive for low hazard environments where you are required to have a first aider on site. It follows the HSE guidelines for 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work courses.

‘A gastrostomy is a surgical opening through the skin of the abdomen to the stomach. A feeding device is put into this opening so that feed can be delivered directly into the stomach bypassing the mouth and throat. (Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, 2020)
