eLearning: Health and Safety Induction

Event Introduction This engaging course will provide a basic introduction to health and safety processes at Achieving for Children.

In order to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and regulations, employers must control the risks in the workplace, which includes providing a Health and Safety induction to staff.
Event Content This course will cover the following aspects of health and safety:
• Benefits
• Myths
• Legal requirements
• First day
• Training
• Incident reporting

This eLearning course is specific to Achieving for Children, and not suitable for external delegates. It is part of the AfC induction programme and all AfC staff will be expected to successfully complete it.

In order to receive their certificate, delegates will need to complete all sections of the eLearning course and the evaluation.
Event Learning Outcomes On completion of this course, delegates will be able to:

• Comply with legislation regarding health and safety in the workplace

• Explain the benefits of having good health and safety knowledge and processes
• Describe the processes for reporting any incidents
