|Event Introduction||Creativity is not just a superpower possessed by a select few people; everyone has creative potential! Being creative is about thinking up new ideas, looking at things from a different perspective, and trying something new. It is a skill you can develop with practice and a process you can manage.
At this time in the public sector, we need to think differently, adopt different approaches, work in different ways, seek new solutions and look at things from a new perspective. We need to move away from tradition and custom to radically rethink our approach.
This course aims to provide participants with practical tools and techniques to help them unlock their own creative potential, and to develop a culture of creativity and innovation in the workplace.
|Event Content||Creativity is essential for any organisation in order for it to keep moving forward. In many organisations we expect our leaders and managers to be able to think creatively with solutions to organisational issues - particularly in financially challenging times. But if we foster a culture of creativity and innovation across an organisation/ team, there will be a greater selection of ideas to draw from. We all think differently!
This half-day workshop provides delegates with a range of ideas and techniques to help enhance the quality and variety of their options when tackling work problems and challenges. It helps to harness a more creative approach to work.
Some of the tools in this workshop will involve deliberately breaking the normal rules of planning and behaviour; going against the usual and predictable options in order to generate new possibilities. By doing so, original and innovative thinking and ideas will emerge, even for those of you who are completely convinced that you are not creative.
Remember, creativity improves the process of problem solving, whether it is related to a current project, or to planning for the future. By developing creative and innovative approaches to work, delegates will be able to think outside the box and stay ahead of the competition. So come along to this session and be prepared to think creatively, challenge your status quo!
This workshop has been commissioned by Kingston HR service. This session is highly interactive and focuses on utilising practical problem solving techniques.
