eLearning: Workstation Assessment

Event Introduction It is important for you to refresh your knowledge on working safely with computers. This short course gives you the help and guidance needed to ensure the workplace is set up correctly and your work routine is designed to minimise the risk to your health and safety.

This course is for AfC staff only.
Event Content As part of the Health and Safety at Work Act it is key that all organisations meet regulations around display screen equipment (DSE). This includes having employees complete regular workstation assessments.

This online training will cover the following elements:
• Why we do workstation assessments
• How to set up your workstation
• Hotdesking
• Preventing back issues

This eLearning course is part of AfC induction programme and all AfC staff will be expected to successfully complete it.

In order to receive their certificate, delegates will need to complete all sections of the eLearning course and the evaluation.
Event Learning Outcomes On completion of this course, delegates will be able to:

• Explain the importance of Workstation Safety
• Determine how to assess their own Workstation Safety
• Set up their own workstation correctly
• Reduce the risk of developing health issues
