AfC Induction: Meet & Greet Event (AfC Colleagues) (Kingston and Richmond)

Event Introduction AfC is passionate about the services that we deliver and the colleagues that we employ to deliver those services. We are very pleased to welcome all new colleagues into the organisation and hope that you will have a long and fulfilling career with us.

Starting a new job in a new organisation is a daunting and sometimes a difficult task. We believe all new starters join AfC with a unique perspective and experience which we would like to hear and learn from. This session is an opportunity to meet with a senior leader in AfC to celebrate completing your probation. During the session, you will reflect and feedback on your first 6-9 months in post, share your ideas and ask any questions you may have. As the final element of the AfC induction programme, this session is designed to help you feel cemented in your role and start looking forward to your next steps in the organisation.

Please note this is an online course, joining instructions will be sent to you 24 hours prior to the course start time. We recommend that all delegates login to the session in plenty of time to avoid any technical delays.
Event Content Your induction programme is comprised of support from your team and manager, elearning and three events;

1) Welcome Event, on your first day
2) Integrate, to attend after 6 months in post
3) Meet & Greet, to attend after 6 months in post

All new starters are encouraged to engage with all elements of AfC Induction. For new permanent starters attendance at the first 2 events are linked to probation so you will be booked on by the Organisational Development Team. The Meet & Greet is optional but encouraged, so book onto a date that works for you.

The Achieving for Children (AfC) Meet & Greet event is a 60-minute session that gives all new starters to AfC an opportunity to come back together after being with the company for 6 months and meet with a member of the senior leadership team.

The Meet & Greet event is an opportunity to hear the vision and values of AfC, discuss your first 6 months with a senior manager and feedback your experiences of induction and probation. You will have a chance to ask any questions and learn more about different service areas.

Event Learning Outcomes AfC colleagues attending this session will;
- Be able to explain the vision and values of AfC
- Feed into the improvement of the induction process across AfC
