Legal Training for Schools - Specificity and Outcomes in EHCPs

Fiona Scolding QC is returning to AfC to deliver training on specificity in Education, Health and Care Plans. The session will explore the legal requirement for specificity in plans, and the school’s role in providing advice to the Local Authority. The session will also cover responding to consultations, the parents rights to mainstream and issues aroung disability discrimination.

If you are a SENCO or Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for inclusion (and did not attend the initial session in July) this is an invaluable course for you.

Working with ADHD – Level 2

This course will build on content from the ‘Introduction to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)’ Level 1 course. By the end of this course practitioners who are working directly with children and young people and/or their families will have the essential knowledge and understanding of ADHD, enabling them to work more effectively with those children and families. How to Refer to the Single Point of Access (SPA) and Early Help (EH) Services (Windsor and Maidenhead)

Following the Children’s Services Information Workshops, held in April 2019, this session was developed to support partner agencies with referrals to the SPA and Early Help services.
