SPARK Year 4 Writing Remote Judging Session Summer Term (Cancelled)

The removal of national curriculum levels has afforded schools great freedom to assess pupils using their chosen methodology, beyond the statutory assessment points. These meetings aim to develop consistency of judgement in teacher assessment and to provide a benchmark for writing midway through KS2.

This course will explore the Characteristics of Effective Learning, looking at how we can identify them in practice and how to ensure provision is enabling them. There will be an opportunity to reflect on your own practice and that of your setting generally. This will lead into an ...

Practical Tips on How to Write an Effective SEF

We know that school self-evaluation is a powerful tool in driving improvement in schools, and when it is done well, it propels school improvement. Underpinning effective self-evaluation is the ability to ask the right questions. A leadership team needs to dig under the surface of the school and really discover what is going on, in order to have an accurate view of the school.

Whilst Ofsted does not require schools to have a format for self-evaluation reports, the expectation is that schools will self-evaluate. This course is designed to support leaders in understanding the key components to ...
