Promoting Distributed Leadership across the Governing Board/SLT (Governors) (Cancelled)

This one day course provides an opportunity for trustees and governors to work alongside senior staff to explore and refine the ways in which the core functions of governance are addressed.

This course targets a group of up to 10 attendees from each participating school/academy. The group can comprise a mix of Governors, the Clerk, and members of SLT. During the session, delegates will explore how best to secure effective, distributed, and strategic leadership.

The Performance Management of the Headteacher (Governors)

It is a core function of the governing board to hold the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff. This statutory duty applies to all maintained school governing boards. Academies are free to determine their own appraisal process and may adopt the requirements for maintained schools if they wish.

Kingston and Richmond Joint Governors' Partnership Meeting (Governors)
