This course will explore the relationship between positive well being and learning for children. It will explore recent research and consider how laughter for children impacts the context for learning and its consolidation.
Rana Esseily (2015) conducted research on babies as young 18 months old, which showed that laughter resulted in babies learning more of the target actions than those in the control group who were not laughing during the learning period. Esseily hypothesizes that laughter may help with learning because dopamine released while laughing enhances learning.
