|Event Introduction||In a fast paced busy learning environment it is often hard to keep up to date with the latest learning, yet we know that as leaders and managers it is vitally important that you do. The Leadership Centre of Excellence will provide you with resources applicable to your roles, but also those roles that you support.
The Centre of Excellence is a virtual space in which we will share exciting learning and development opportunities. The idea of the Centre is to provide you, our leaders and managers, with the space and time to learn and develop in your roles. We recognise that you are all busy people so this hub will enable you to access your professional development opportunities remotely.
Leadership Insights sessions provide opportunities throughout the year when we would like to draw you all together to share ideas and to learn from one another.
These sessions will cover a range of topics that are associated with the role of leaders and managers within Achieving for Children. These learning events are for all leaders in the organisation who have line management responsibility. Lunch and Learn will bring leaders together to share best practice, hear about developments with the organisation and refresh knowledge.
|Event Content||The sessions aim to promote collaboration and learning within the organisation’s management teams in short and snappy sessions on topics important to the role of managers across the organisation.
Attending these sessions will promote clear messages and expectations on managers to undertake the full range of responsibilities confidently in managing people through understanding the topic in greater detail, learning from others experience and having knowledge of where support can be found.
The sessions will be facilitated by a variety of different professionals both within and external to the organisation to cover the different topics. Remember to bring your lunch, network and learn a variety of different topics to support your role as a manager at these engaging sessions.
These sessions are taking places in different locations across the all three of the service areas. A detailed agenda for each session will available nearer the time.
|Event Learning Outcomes||By the end of the session managers will be able to:
Demonstrate a developed increased awareness and knowledge of resources, policies and approaches available to support managers.
Describe and share experiences and best practice
Analyse learning to improve the management and leadership within teams.
Evaluate and share knowledge with others about specific resources, policies and approaches
