Signs of Safety - Mock Child Protection Conference Thumbnail

The Signs of Safety model is a tool intended to help practitioners with risk assessment and safety planning in child protection cases. Created by Andrew Turnell and Steve Edwards in Western Australia during the 1990s, Signs of Safety is now used in at least 12 different countries across Australasia, North America and Europe.

MARAC (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference) and DASH (Domestic Abuse, Stalking, Harassment and Honour Based Abuse) (Windsor and Maidenhead)

MARAC and DASH is an interactive full day’s multi agency training course.

This training course will equip front line practitioners, managers and specialist staff to recognise and respond to adults at risk of domestic abuse, stalking, harassment and honour based abuse.

It will give an understanding of risk factors associated with domestic abuse, risk identification, assessment and management, including the MARAC process.

1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men will be affected by domestic abuse in their lifetime. (Office for National Statistics, 2016)

PARIS Children's Services RBWM course (Windsor and Maidenhead)

PARIS is the Social Care and Health Care database used by RBWM to record all clients’ records. This course is mandatory for all PARIS users who need to be able to write to the PARIS database, upon successful completion of the course, users will provided with write access to the PARIS system.

This course covers the basics that all Health Visitors need to know to be able to successfully navigate the software and input or access appropriate data in client’s records.
