|Event Introduction||Applying for external funding is starting to become a part of most job roles. Approaching a business, individual or pot of funding for a project or service can be confusing because the application process, relationships and remit is often different every time. Locally you might be applying for a community grant or nationally you may be applying to a subcontractor to deliver elements of a service. Being aware of what funding opportunities are out there and how to apply for them can be a useful additional skill to most job roles.
Learning the rules of successful fund-raising is a key outcome of the day Attending the workshop will help break down the fears and misconceptions of successful bid writing.
This session will be delivered on-line. Joining instructions will be emailed 24 hours prior to the start date.
|Event Content||The aim of this course will be to help attendees understand the landscape and process for applying for external funding.
The workshop has been specifically designed for those who are new to bid writing. It’s for those who don’t know where to start and/or have a fear of failure. It’s for those who find completing application forms daunting and complicated. The intended impact of the day is for delegates to acquire the skills and confidence to write their own successful funding submission.
In order to help delegates achieve the right outcomes, this one-day course will cover:
• Different types of funding
• The elements of a ‘good’ bid
• The importance of relationship-building
• The importance of account management
• The relationship between specifications, procurement and the tender process
• The process for applying for and managing a grant fund
